About

This is the pathetic little blog of Rich Schmidt, hereafter referred to as “I,” “me,” or “myself.”

I started it back in January when I went on a mission trip to Argentina. I wanted to help the folks at Living Hope (the church I pastor in Valparaiso, Indiana) keep up with what I was doing while I was away from them. As it turns out, I think the people who checked it most were (1) my wife and (2) my mom. Which is probably good, because it meant I didn’t have to recap everything in my daily 2-minute phone calls with Stacey. (That’s my wife, not my mom.)

Now I’m beginning an 11-week summer sabbatical break. I’ll be traveling quite a bit, most of it with Stacey, and won’t be back to Living Hope until Sunday, August 3. And that’s only because I don’t want to miss it when we bring Dan Martin back from our daughter church in Kennewick, Washington, to speak on August 3 & 10. My sabbatical break won’t actually end until Tuesday, August 12.

So anyway, if you want to know what we’re up to, you can find it here! I’m not making any promises about being consistent or interesting, so read at your own risk!
